OK So I like snow. I think it is pretty and fun. I don't like going out in it, but I do still like the snow but I have had it. So last weekend I had like 3 inches of snow here are some the the pictures it was very pretty:
So that was nice I had a day off work but not to bad. These Tuesday it was much better, until Wednesday when we got a bunch of ice and I was home again. Same thing again on Friday, do you sense a theme here? Well Then a huge storm came in on Saturday and we got 9 inches in 2 days. Check out these pictures!
Like I said i like snow as much as the next person (except my friend Shauna who apparently hates snow) but I have had enough of it really. Oh and they don't' expect it to warm up enough for any amount of melting until Saturday! So I guess I will be getting that white Christmas that I have never had. I don't think I asked for it though!
I hope everyone has a happy and Safe Holiday!

About
On Thursday I went to see the Nutcracker. It was the second time I have seen it but i really enjoyed it. It was fun, I went with someone who comes into where i work. Her husband decided taking a 2 1/2 year old and a 4 year old to see the nutcracker wasn't his idea of fun so she asked if i could come with her. I love her kids and apparently they like me so a least she would have a little help with them. Well it was memorable. Thomas who is 2 and 1/2 was riveted. He sat there all quite for the whole time. He loved the music. Paul on the other hand wasn't as riveted. He kept asking when it would be over. He did enjoy some of it, like the solider and mouse king's fight, but I'm not sure he liked the rest of it.
I had a great time though!
So I was going to post this last week but completely forgot so here goes. I been eagerly anticipating the moment when i could buy tickets to Wicked (it is the touring company). For those that don't know, and let me tell you if you don't I am shocked. It is a Broadway musical based (kind of loosely) on the Book by Gregory McGuire, and they true story of Wizard of Oz. It is all about the friendship between the Wicked Witch and Glinda. I think it is the best musical I have every seen, but then again I don't tend to like musicals.
Check out the music on my Multiply it will all be Wicked themed!
Well anyway I bought my tickets a little over a week ago and got them in the mail yesterday. It isn't until March but I'm so excited.
I know you all have been clambering to know what i have been up to (even if you haven't humor me would you!) I know i promised that I would post regularly and I haven't so here we go.So the last few weeks have been rather busy. I have been trying to catch up on all my school work. it seems that i always let it going until the end of the term. I am glad that i only have one more paper due. not to long like 4 pages. Finals are next week and then i will have some free time.
I went to the movies last Saturday. Me, my Sister Amie, her best friend Summer ( I love her too), and Summers sister-in-law and our friend Shauna went to see Twilight. It was a good movie. I read the book but everyone else i went with them and loved them. I am going to read them soon!
Monday was my birthday. Really the day wasn't all that much different than another day. Work and then homework. A person that comes into my organization sent me flowers though. I mentioned to her once that i love Gerber daisies so she sent me this arrangement:
So now I'm starting to work on my Christmas cards. I really need to finish making them in the next week or so.
So Dear Shauna had her birthday this weekend. She told me a few months ago that she really wanted to learn how to do scrapbooks. So I decided I would make her a little album for her to put pictures of her little guy Taylor. BTW Taylor is the cutest little guy i have seen is a very long time, maybe in forever! Anyway I made her an album and she got it this weekend so now i can show you all what i have been working on since September.
A friend sent me a email today. She started it by saying, there is good news and bad news. The good news she is having a baby (Woo Hoo Carrie) the bad news, she is moving back to Chicago to be near family, and her husband got a good job there.
It is great and I I'm so beyond happy for her, but I will miss her!
I spend most of the day yesterday working on the project I'm making for my friends birthday. I think it is going well. I'm starting to get out of my block. I might start working on those Christmas cards and gifts soon. The cards are giving me a little trouble. I'm not sure what I'm going to do, but I have some bits and pieces of last years Christmas card kit, left so I'm going to use some of that!
I have now decided that I can't live in a large apartment building anymore! The damn fire alarm went off last night (well technically this morning), at 2:30 in the damn morning. It would be fine if there was actually a fire of any kind, but no. Apparently someone burnt food in there toaster oven and rather then opening their window they opened the door that leads to the hallway. Right outside her apartment is the main fire detector so the alarm starts blaring!
Here I am posting to my blog again.
So I have been spending a great deal of my free time working on this gift for a friends birthday. No I'm not going to really talk about it because she might see it, and that would kinda ruin the surprise now wouldn't it! The problem is that I'm having a bit if a creative block. I can't quite tell if it is the theme, or what.
So what does everyone else do to overcome there creative block!
KI know I'm terrible about updating my blog. I haven't really touch mine in many. many months. This is my vow, that I will try harder to post to my blog. Not that there is anything interesting to report!
Here is the card that I made for my mom for Mothers Day! It is all stamped, inked and jeweled! The Jewels are all from this kit I bought a while back. It is Cool especially the stripes of jewels.

This is a little book that I made for my my for Mother's Day. (SHHH don't tell her). I used my handy dandy Cricut machine and the Design Studio. Eventually when the recipes are in it, it will get laminated so it will be protected. Once we get it all together I might add a few more embellishments. I will add some ribbons to the rings once it is all done.

Here are are few pages I made in the last few days. I love these puppies. They aren't mine but when I get some puppies I want ones just like 'em. They are so sweet and I just love them.
This is Sydney. I titled it Syd basically because well i didn't have two lower cased y's so I improvised! LOL Isn't she pretty!
This is Champ. He has a bit of napoleon complex, but it is adorable.
In case you are interested the paper is from Die Cuts with a View it is called the Pet stack. It has a ton of Dog paper a little bit of Cat paper.

My brother went to the hospital on Wednesday, apparently he has pneumonia and a viral infection. They sent him home that night but we decided to drive up and see him and the family on Friday. So my sister, mom, niece Marcie and I drove up Friday morning.
Somehow not everyone there got themselves in a picture but here are a few of the pictures....

I started making these cards a few months ago. I love making them, they are fun and they use some of my scrapbook scraps. Here are a few I have made in the last few weeks. The Instructions for the card can be found here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/crisscrosscard.php

I made these boxes with the Cricut Machine, the Design Studios Software and the George Cartridge. I didn't create the pattern though I got it from here: http://okieladybugsscrapnmore.blogspot.com/search/label/Cupcake%20Box
These boxes were made instead of having easter baskets. I like how they turned out, although I had a little adhesive problem. I did alter the pattern a bit, which might of been a bad call. Instead of using the bottom that it called for I cut two tops, one with a cutout, one without. When I make them again i will probably do it the way they are suppose to be done.

Here is a card I made today. I recently discovered clear stamps and this is the first time using them. I actually like the card. And all I can say is that clear stamps are amazing. They are super easy to use and they are just fun. I sense another scrapbooking obsession coming on!

So I love that CBS gave this show another chance. I was surprised that they brought it back. I didn't think as a fan we would get much more than the 7 or 8 episodes that they promised, but never the less I was very disappointed. This show is great, the characters and writing are amazing. The ratings for this season were poor, not because no one wanted to watch it, but because they moved the show from 8pm on Wednesdays to 10 pm on Tuesdays. There is a huge difference between the people watching TV at 8 and those watching at 10. Jericho is one of CBS most watched shows online, and it continues to be a big seller on itunes, so clearly people like the show.
It seems like networks are investing so much into completely mindless reality shows (ie., My dad is Better than your dad) and tossing out smart and intriguing shows. Jericho isn't the only show that they have tossed out like this, it is just the latest in a long line for great shows. I have to hope that Jericho is picked up by another network and will continue on somewhere, but the chances of that happening are slim.
I for one am sick and tired of networks canceling great shows. It is really irritating that they take shows that are preforming well and move them to a different time or they put them on a 2 or 3 month hiatus and are shocked that people have found something else to watch. That is inevitable, specifically with a new show.
Ok I think I have gotten it out of my system!
3 or 4 months ago this mini series was on Sci fi network and it was amazing. It was a great retelling of the Wizard of oz, Sci-fi style. I know it does sound really weird, but it was a great movie. I recommend it to anyone who likes Wizard of Oz and/or Sci-fi. I happen to like both. My sister even liked it, which if you know my sister you know is unusual.
Here is a video i found on You tube for it:
